A Fine George I Period Gilt Gesso Mirror

English, circa 1720

The cresting, finely carved with two facing heads with scrolled acanthus and two shells, either side of a central lambrequin. The ground finely chased with trailing foliage.
The frame carved with strap work and flowers with scrolled brackets to the sides. The apron similarly carved with acanthus and a central fleur de lys and two brass candle sconces.
