A Pair of George III period carved and painted Armchairs.

Retaining their original white painted decoration. 

English,  circa 1780

The oval backs moulded and carved with husks and fluting. The shaped arms joining the turned front legs finely carved with a half flowers, waterleaves and fluting. The serpentine shaped rails similarly carved with paterae and fluting. Now upholstered in blue damask.

Anne Honor Mary Beckwith-Smith was born on 4 December 1951. She is the daughter of Major Peter Merton Beckwith-Smith and Annabel Cecilia Mary Newman.

She held the office of Lady-in-Waiting to HRH Princess of Wales between 1981 and 1997. She was appointed Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1990.
