The oval frame carved with a gadrooned border with C scrolls and acanthus. Surmounted by a cartouche of foliage, scrolls and acanthus.
The design of this mirror closely relates to a drawing by Thomas Chippendale, dated 1760 and published in his Gentlemen and Cabinet Makers Director, Third edition of 1762.
