A FINE GEORGE II PERIOD BURR WALNUT SIDE TABLE

English, circa 1720

The moulded Breche Violet marble top over a cavetto moulded frieze, veneered in densely figured burr walnut over a cross grain walnut moulding.The four well carved cabriole legs headed by shells and acanthus leaves, terminating in ball and claw feet.
The walnut veneers and timber of this beautifully proportioned table have mellowed throughout
the centuries and have acquired a glorious colour and patina.
