Godson & Coles are dealers in fine and rare period english furniture from the late seventeenth century to the early nineteenth century and of British Art of the mid-twentieth century. We have been established for over 20 years.
The pieces of furniture and objects we offer are chosen for their exceptional design, quality of craftsmanship and untouched colour and patination.. All these criteria have to be met when selecting items for stock, hence many of the major names in British cabinetmaking are featured; from John Vardy and John Belchier, Paul Saunders and Thomas Chippendale from St. Martin's Lane to George Smith and Thomas Hope from the early nineteenth century.
We also offer works of art and fine paintings from the mid-twentieth century specialising in the St Ives movement, one of the most exciting periods of British Art and one, which we believe, compliments the furniture in a contemporary environment.
Collectors, museums, decorators and many international dealers are well represented among our clients.
